ELDORADO FESTIVITIES
Eldorado is an opportunity for locals to immerse themselves in a Mexican atmosphere with real “fiestas”. In partnership with artists and collectives throughout the metropolitan area, this year’s municipal and traditional festivals will take on an exceptional scope, featuring in particular decorative objects from the opening parade: bright, mobile Alebrijes, Puebla hummingbirds, etc.
ELDORADO BALLS
Organised in conjunction with associations in the metropolitan area, the Latin American rhythms of these balls will transport the public into a delightfully zany universe. Cumbia, Mexican and mariachi balls will be held throughout the season. Welcome to your ELDORADO!
MUMO 2
Designed by Matali Crasset, and easily spotted thanks to its new inflatable, the MuMo is back this year, decked out in Eldorado colours. And for the first time it is also opening its doors to parents who wish to discover this unique museum.
THE TRAVELLING PLANETARIUM
On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of Man’s first step on the Moon, the Departmental Forum of Sciences of Villeneuve d’Ascq invites us to live or relive this historic moment. For six months, a travelling planetarium will criss-cross the city and its hinterland to immerse local residents in the world of space conquest.
IN LILLE NEIGHBOURHOODS
The ten districts of Lille are flying the Eldorado colours. All residents can participate in the opening parade, discover the familiar or secret parks and gardens of their district, or a street art fresco.
